Wild Alberta at the Crossroads won gold in the Independent Publisher's 12th Annual Book Awards, 2008, Best Regional Non-fiction category.
The awards were presented on May 30th, 2008 at BookExpo America in Los Angeles.
We at NatureWatch Press could not have achieved this alone. The production of this book is the result of a highly interactive and creative team effort in which we were joined by the following:
Frances Hunter, award-winning book designer with the Beacon Hill Communications Group who took our images and manuscript and transformed them into a work of art;
Joyce Hildebrand, of Speargrass Communications , who subjected the content to her inspired and rigorous editing and proofreading;
Robin Poitras, teacher of cartography who created the book’s beautiful maps; and
Everbest Printing (click here) for the high quality of their work that was so critical in bringing this project to fruition, and for completion of the job on budget and on time.
This gold medal truly belongs to the entire Wild Alberta team. Our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you.
